About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our passionate and engaged team as a Laboratory Assistant. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and processing medical laboratory samples, including operating and maintaining laboratory analysers.
- Pre and post-analytical specimen handling, identification, and prioritization of urgent specimens.
- Filing and storage of specimens and data entry.
- Assisting scientists in the laboratory as required.
- Continuous learning of processing requirements for different types of samples and tests.
- Staying up-to-date with processing updates and responding to result and sample requirements.
- Identifying and resolving problems at the pre-analytical stage.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
- Previous experience processing medical laboratory samples.
- Experience in operating laboratory analysers.
- High attention to detail while working to deadlines.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively with health professionals.
