We are seeking an experienced Risk and Controls Manager to join our dynamic team at Compare the Market.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of compliance and risk management frameworks within Compare the Market, fostering a strong risk-aware culture.
- Collaborate with each product line to identify, assess, document, and regularly review risks.
- Lead and support designing and implementing controls to mitigate identified risks across product lines.
- Maintain a comprehensive Risk Register tailored to each product line's needs.
- Design and execute risk control self-assessment plans to evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls.
- Assist in developing timely risk and control treatment plans, monitoring and tracking remediation efforts within agreed timelines.
- Lead key risk initiatives aimed at enhancing risk management capabilities in the first line of defence.
- Perform additional risk and compliance assurance activities as required.
- Maintain robust engagement across all leadership levels, from frontline leaders to the executive team.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or other relevant discipline is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role with a comprehensive understanding of Risk and Compliance regulatory requirements.
- Relevant experience in a Risk Function, Compliance Function, or Internal Audit Function, preferably in the financial services or insurance industries.
- Experience working in a Three Lines of Defence (3 LOD) Risk Management model with a track record of delivering high-quality oversight across multiple products.
- Strong understanding of current and emerging risks and practical experience in managing an effective control environment.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Excellent reporting and analysis skills.
