About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our Mental Health team at Albury Wodonga Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in the coordination of patient services, unit management, and nursing staff management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the nursing care of patients within the unit, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Develop and implement nursing strategies and initiatives to improve patient care and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Leadership Team to develop and implement the Albury Wodonga Health Strategic and Operational Plans.
  • Promote a positive and supportive work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork, communication, and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines, including infection control and legislative requirements.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Proven experience in mental health nursing and leadership roles.
  • Strong clinical and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage complex patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on patient-centered care and service delivery.
