Work as a Senior Care Coordinator at Calvary Care

The role of a Team Leader plays a vital part in the provision of high-quality care to residents at all times. The Team Leader collaborates with the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse to oversee and coordinate care for residents across the home, ensuring that individual needs, preferences, and goals are met in a supportive environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to advance their career. This position is available to either Endorsed Enrolled Nurses or Personal Care Workers with suitable qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support to all residents, focusing on holistic and person-centered care.
  • Support the coordination of care needs for residents across the home, including medication management, nutrition, and pressure care.
  • Lead/supervise care on shifts within designated wings or areas.
  • Perform tasks related to medicine administration according to qualification scope, state/territory legislation, regulation, and Calvary policies.

About You:

  • Relevant Qualifications:
    • Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (with APRHA Registration to administer medication)
    • Certificate IV in Ageing Support (including HLTHPS007 Administer & Monitor Medicines) OR
    • Certificate III in Individual Support with willingness to undertake training to obtain required qualifications
  • A high level of commitment, integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
  • An effective listener with ability to communicate at all levels both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand and use information technology and programs and to learn new skills as required.
  • Current National police check.
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
  • A desire to join a team dedicated to caring for others in a mission-based organization.
