Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineering Expert to join our team. As a key member, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products and drive business growth.

In this role, you will design, implement, test, and deploy complex data architectures and APIs using various technologies and platforms. You will lead the technical aspects of projects, taking them from pre-discovery to production.

You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment and demonstrate strong communication skills, focusing on solutions. You will thrive in an environment where collaboration and knowledge-sharing are valued, continually assessing and improving system health.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record in building reliable, performant, and scalable data applications and pipelines.

The successful candidate will have expertise in API development, distributed event-driven systems architectures, and cloud offerings. They will have experience in modern data engineering techniques such as data modelling, data pipelines, data streaming, and data consumption. Proficiency in Python, SQL, Typescript is required, with some experience in Scala preferred. Experience in data tools like Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, Apache Flink, Pandas, GCP BigQuery, Apache Spark would be ideal.

  • Designing, implementing, testing, and deploying complex data architectures and APIs using various technologies and platforms.
  • Helping to lead the technical aspects of projects, initiatives, or slices, taking these projects from the pre-discovery stage all the way through to production.
  • Continually assessing and improving the health of our system, ensuring we adopt best practices and contribute to our open and collaborative culture.
  • Working in a fast-paced, agile environment and exhibiting strong communication skills, demonstrating a solutions-focused mindset.
