- Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strategic alignment with the University's Impact 2030 plan.
- Lead and inspire a diverse community of academics, students, and professional staff.
- Drive growth in student enrolments, research funding, and industry engagement.
- Foster a high-performance culture that is inclusive and psychologically safe.
- Cultivate national and international partnerships to expand the Sub-Faculty's reputation and impact.
- Ensure financial sustainability and operational effectiveness.
- Director of Research Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of Alfred Health's research agenda.
- Oversee governance, research contracts, ethics, compliance, and intellectual property.
- Foster clinical and translational research collaborations across the Research Alliance.
- Identify emerging opportunities for innovation, capability building, and funding.
- Support and mentor researchers, particularly early- and mid-career leaders.
- Represent the organization on senior committees and in external forums to influence health research priorities.
The ideal candidate will have a medical specialist qualification in an area relevant to the Sub-Faculty, a PhD or equivalent research doctorate, and fellowship of a recognised medical college and registration with AHPRA without conditions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
