About the Role

We are seeking a Support Worker to provide in-home and community support to individuals with diverse needs. This is a casual position that offers flexible working hours.

The ideal candidate will be located in the Gold Coast South area and will provide support to clients in their homes.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our clients and their families.

  • Assist clients to improve their independence according to their identified needs and goals
  • Provide in-home supports such as domestic assistance, meal preparation, skill development, and personal care
  • Establish a rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and their family

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar) is required
  • Australian Driver's Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Blue Card is required
  • Excellent organisational skills, hygiene practices, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks.

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate.
