Sea Operations Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sea Operations Operator to join our team at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
- Process documents efficiently and promptly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with operations systems.
- Liaise with Customs Agents, clients, transport bodies, and Australian Customs as required.
- Source and manage approved suppliers, review purchase orders, and liaise with Quality on new supplier considerations.
- Liaise with overseas offices and agents regarding paperwork and charges, including freight charges and profit share.
- Handle claims for damage or pilferage, notifying Quality, Customer Service, and transferring data to the Sea Operations Manager.
- Inspect dangerous goods documentation and cargo, where applicable.
- Arrange ultimate consignee with Shipping Lines or Customs prior to vessel arrival.
- Take corrective action to prevent non-conformances.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 1 year's experience in a similar role within the industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail.
