Medical Director Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to drive problem-solving initiatives and conflict resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work across 7 days, 38 hours (4 shifts per week)
  • Manage a wide variety of cases from neonates to geriatric, inclusive of trauma, resuscitation, and toxicology
Facility Overview:

This hospital is a primary regional healthcare facility in the area, boasting over 200 beds and serving as a specialist referral centre for northern Victoria. It caters to a population of around 90,000 and manages nearly 19,000 inpatient cases and 23,000 visits to the Emergency Department annually.

Requirements:
  1. Fellowship (FACEM) or eligible for fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM)
  2. International medical graduates (IMGs) eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada, or Ireland)
  3. Doctors who will be awarded the fellowship (FACEM) in the next 6 months are encouraged to apply
