The Senior Paralegal will provide critical support to the General Counsel & Company Secretary in ensuring the organization's legal and regulatory requirements are met, while maintaining sound corporate governance practices.
This role offers flexibility, with options for full-time or part-time work, and can be based in Allambie Heights with hybrid work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and review standard contracts and other legal documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and maintain various legal and compliance registers, ensuring timely reporting to the Board.
- Coordinate requests for client record access and subpoenas, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
- Raise awareness and support internal stakeholders in managing privacy compliance obligations.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate legal risk.
- Proven experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department, with a strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
- Diligence and attention to detail, with the ability to manage simultaneous projects and deliverables.
- Ability to work autonomously, with confidence in escalating issues when necessary.
