Water Design Engineer
You will play a crucial role in delivering detailed design solutions for water infrastructure projects. Your expertise will be utilized to lead the preparation of designs that adhere to industry standards, ensuring safe and cost-effective outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Hydraulic Modelling: Conduct modelling of pipelines, borefields, pump stations, ponds, tanks, and related infrastructure.
- Work Package Preparation: Prepare and compile work packages, including construction drawings, quantity estimates, scopes of work, and stakeholder liaison.
- Design Reviews: Facilitate design reviews, including field inspections and compliance with basis-of-design criteria.
- Engineering Deliverables: Develop engineering deliverables such as pipeline schematics, general arrangements, P&IDs, and equipment selection.
- Capital Estimates: Contribute to capital estimates and material take-offs (MTOs).
- Operational Readiness: Coordinate operational readiness requirements for projects.
- Risk Management: Monitor design schedules, escalating risks where necessary.
- Construction Support: Provide construction support through responding to technical queries and updating design documentation.
- Equipment Evaluation: Produce equipment datasheets and evaluate vendor proposals for budget and technical compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet statutory, regulatory, and procedural requirements.
- Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication on design progress, risks, and changes.
