The role of the Power System Studies Director is to lead a team responsible for providing technical expertise and advice on emerging power system phenomena. This involves identifying risks ahead of time and enabling proactive solutions.

To be successful in this position, you will need to have a deep understanding of power system engineering and a proven track record in managing complex technical environments. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders are also essential.

The team works closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide expert advice on future power system development and energy system issues. As the Power System Studies Director, you will be expected to engage with these stakeholders, provide technical expertise, and influence decision-making.

The key responsibilities of the role include leading a team of up to ten individuals, developing and maintaining power system study capability, tools, models, and future state cases for technical investigations. You will also be responsible for specifying technical requirements and capability from emerging technologies, including grid forming inverters.
