
Infrastructure Safety Improvement Specialist

As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the efficient delivery of infrastructure safety improvement initiatives for the Department of Transport and Main Roads. Your expertise in strategic communication services will play a vital role in engaging with technical and professional staff, stakeholders, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective communication strategies for community and stakeholder engagement, including researching and writing project materials, media enquiry responses, and releases that adhere to brand guidelines and style guides.
- Provide strategic communications advice and support to project directors, managers, and staff on community engagement, issues management, risk assessment, and communication strategies using suitable tools and channels.
- Maintain positive relationships and consult with internal and external stakeholders, including government officers, industry stakeholders, local businesses, and the general community.
- Prepare executive correspondence, communications materials, and reporting for leadership and project teams, ensuring confidentiality and integrity while adhering to record management policies and procedures.
You will need strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A high level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism is essential for this role.
