Senior Risk Lead, ESG and Wholesale Position Overview

The key risk management role of Senior Risk Lead, ESG and Wholesale is crucial in overseeing the independent risk management of the Wholesale business and leading the second-line management of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Reputational Risks across Australia and New Zealand.

This position plays a vital role in ensuring effective governance and strategic decision-making within the organization by providing expert oversight and challenge to the Wholesale business on the application of the risk management framework.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and manage the development of risk strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's overall risk appetite and objectives.

  • Lead the independent risk management of the Wholesale business, providing expert oversight and challenge to ensure effective risk management practices are embedded throughout the organization.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's risk appetite and objectives.
  • Manage and oversee the ESG and Reputational Risk programs, ensuring effective risk mitigation and management practices are implemented across Australia and New Zealand.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A seasoned professional with finance industry experience in senior risk or compliance roles.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings.
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise of group and industry risk management practices, with a strong understanding of risk governance and strategic decision-making.
