The role of a Child Care Worker is vital in providing a nurturing environment for children to develop physically, emotionally, and socially.
As a dedicated professional, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging space for children to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Instructing children in essential health habits such as hygiene, nutrition, and rest periods;
- Reading to children and teaching simple creative activities like painting, drawing, and crafts;
- Organising and participating in recreational activities, including games and outdoor play;
- Assisting with meal preparation and serving meals and refreshments to children while maintaining a clean and organised environment;
- Supporting emotional and social development by promoting positive self-concepts and understanding among children;
- Disciplining children and implementing strategies to promote good behaviour, such as self-care and responsibility;
- Identifying signs of potential emotional or developmental issues and informing parents or guardians.
- At least 3 years of experience working with children in a similar role;
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure;
- High level of compassion and patience when dealing with children;
- Problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
