Job Description

Your opportunity to make a real impact on clients living with dementia, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke complications, progressive neurological conditions, and age-related decline awaits.

As a dedicated Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing swallowing and communication difficulties, delivering in-person and telehealth-based interventions, collaborating with our team, traveling to regional locations (optional), advocating for clients' communication needs, and providing consultation, education, and support to clients, families, and care teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose swallowing and communication disorders in diverse client populations
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address clients' communication needs
  • Collaborate with our state-based Speech Pathology Team Leader and national team to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Travel to regional locations to provide services to clients (optional)
  • Advocate for clients' communication needs and preferences
  • Provide consultation, education, and support to clients, families, and care teams to enhance their understanding of speech and language development
Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport
