About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Civil Engineer to lead and/or be part of our Blacktown City Council civil works program. As a Senior Project Manager/Project Director, you will be responsible for managing and training a small team of professionals, overseeing land acquisition, obtaining planning approvals, and managing all aspects of utility service authority designs and approval.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and train a small team of professionals in design management, procurement, and superintendency during the construction phase.
  • Oversee land acquisition, obtain planning approvals, and manage all aspects of utility service authority designs and approval.
  • Manage the construction stages, including tender and engagement of construction contractors, contractor performance management, site management, and contract administration.
  • Act as a Superintendents Representative and manage all aspects of the project.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a relevant field with significant relevant experience.
  • At least 7 to 10 years' experience managing roads and drainage projects, preferably at a local government level.
  • 'White Card' Construction Safety Induction required.
  • Ability to travel to different sites across Greater Sydney Metro area and hold a valid driver's license.
