Opportunity Overview

We are seeking skilled community members to join the Floodplain Risk Management Committee in Wagga Wagga.

About the Role

This is a voluntary non-remunerated position that will contribute to effective floodplain risk management in our region. The successful candidate will assist in communicating and consulting with key stakeholders, as well as providing oversight on the implementation of the Floodplain Risk Management Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate and consult with community members and stakeholders regarding floodplain risk management.
  • Assist in ensuring the effective implementation of the Floodplain Risk Management Plan.
Requirements
  • Understanding of the role of the Floodplain Risk Management Committee.
  • Knowledge of NSW Government's Floodplain Management Program, Flood Prone Land Policy, and the NSW Floodplain Risk Management Process.
  • Ability to think strategically and consider impacts on the community.
  • Ability to interpret and make decisions based on data from various sources.
Benefits
