Role Description

This position is for an enthusiastic and energetic individual looking to work with school-aged children in a flexible role. The successful candidate will support our teams to deliver high-quality educational play and leisure-based programs for school-aged children (6-12 years).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish warm, nurturing relationships with each child and friendly, supportive relationships with their families while attending to children's learning and well-being.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality educational play and leisure-based programs for school-aged children.

Requirements:

  • No formal Early Childhood qualifications are required for working within our Out of School Hours program only, but people who do hold current Early Childhood qualifications are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • A deep commitment to always ensuring children's safety and wellbeing.
  • Knowledge of My Time, Our Place Framework, National Quality Standards and National Law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • High level of energy, enthusiasm, and creativity, with a passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Commitment to Anglicare's mission and values of integrity, inclusiveness, dignity and compassion.
  • Current First Aid, CPR Asthma & Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain.
  • A valid Working with Vulnerable People card (ACT)
