About the Role

As a Support Officer, you will play a vital part in delivering projects that support individuals into sustainable employment.

Working with partners, these projects will deliver accredited training and personalized support to help participants gain nationally recognized skills and vocational qualifications.

You will be responsible for supporting participants with diverse needs, working within a team, and developing a culture aligned with our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting participants with personal and social issues and barriers to employment
  • Developing individualized plans to enhance opportunities for training and employment
  • Facilitating provision of personal development activities to develop vocational and employability skills
  • Liaising with partners to maximize employment and training outcomes
  • Documenting case notes, reports, and program data as required

What You Will Bring To The Role

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate IV or equivalent experience in Community Services, Employment Services, Training, or a related sector
  • Understanding of the labour market and issues faced by participants when planning to enter or return to the workforce
  • Sense of resilience and empathy to work with participants experiencing complex barriers
  • Experience facilitating work skills sessions and small group activities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent IT and administration skills
  • Time management, attention to detail, and prioritization skills

Additional Requirements

Australian/NZ Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or visa with Permanent Work Rights

Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or willingness to obtain clearance

Willngness to undertake a specific "Fit2Work" Police Check
