At Boart Longyear, we're pushing the boundaries of mining intelligence with cutting-edge science and technology. As a key technical resource, you'll play a crucial role in rolling out, running, and supporting our field-deployable XRF-analysis and core photography system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and troubleshoot electronic equipment in a field environment
  • Train client field technicians to safely and efficiently operate our field-deployable analytical technologies
  • Contribute to training documentation creation and basic troubleshooting of technical and practical use issues
  • Provide reports and feedback on trouble-shooting issues and cases
  • Travel regularly within the Asia Pacific region to fulfill responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Field experience working on a drill rig or in a mining or exploration core facility
  • Understanding of handling and logging core samples
  • Excellent customer service orientation and ability to maintain relationships with key account customers and internal team
  • Demonstrated interest in digital technologies and new innovations
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written
  • Attention to detail and strong initiative
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • A current drivers' license
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills
  • 4WD and Senior First Aid
