Field Technician, Scanning Specialist

Job Overview:

As a key technical resource, you will play a crucial role in rolling out, running, and supporting our field-deployable XRF-analysis and core photography system. This position requires a strong understanding of electronic equipment operation and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to train client field technicians to safely and efficiently operate our field-deployable analytical technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and troubleshoot field-deployable electronic equipment
  • Train client field technicians to safely and efficiently operate our field-deployable analytical technologies
  • Contribute to training documentation creation
  • Basic troubleshooting of technical and practical use issues tied to analytical equipment
  • Provide reports and feedback on troubleshooting issues and cases
  • Travel regularly within the Asia Pacific region to fulfill the above responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Field experience working on a drill rig; mining or exploration core facility (highly desirable)
  • Understanding of handling and logging core samples (desirable)
  • Excellent customer service orientation and ability to maintain relationships with key account customers and internal team
  • Demonstrated interest in digital technologies and new innovations
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written
  • Attention to detail and strong initiative
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • A current driver's license
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills (desirable)
  • 4WD and Senior First Aid (desirable)
  • Ability to work on a varied roster
