In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and confidant to the Deputy Director-General, providing critical support on priority projects, issues management, and strategic communications within the Tourism and Sport Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct in-depth analysis and research on complex issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
  2. Support the DDG with internal and external communications, including preparing for high-level briefings and presentations.
  3. Collaborate with the Division's leadership to develop, implement, and track business plans, focusing on engagement, stakeholder management, and achievement of key performance indicators.
  4. Provide the DDG and General Managers with actionable insights and temperature checks on team dynamics, employee engagement, and overall divisional performance, driving initiatives to improve team health and welfare.
  5. Effectively coordinate and administer senior executive meetings, including attendee management, agenda distribution, follow-up actions, and reporting.
  6. Nurture and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Tourism and Sport Division, including business units, the Office of the Director-General, and other senior leaders.

This is a 12-month contract opportunity. The work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
