Database Administrator

Our organization seeks a seasoned Database Administrator to undertake long-term contract work. This role presents an opportunity to collaborate on large-scale, mission-critical systems with a strong focus on mainframe Db2 administration and optimization.

The Database Administrator will be responsible for defining, sourcing, and optimizing database environments to support enterprise-wide solutions. They will provide hands-on administration of Db2 databases, working closely with stakeholders and technical teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Migrating ObjectStar Table datastore to Db2 on z/OS
  • Designing, maintaining, and optimizing Db2 databases
  • Upgrading Db2 to Version 13
  • Ensuring database integrity, security, and availability across enterprise environments

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in Mainframe Db2 Database Administration, possess strong knowledge of IBM Db2 tools, and proficiency with z/OS interfaces.
