Hygiene Expert

We are seeking a talented individual to lead our hygiene team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across our production facility.

You will oversee the implementation of our hygiene strategies, ensuring effective pre-op management in collaboration with Quality Assurance. Your role will also involve supervising daily wash bay operations, managing stock checks, chemical management, and personal protective equipment use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of supervisors, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Oversee pre-op tasks and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
  • Manage wash bay operations and coordinate with QA for smooth handovers.
  • Supervise daily stock checks, chemical management, and cleanliness of utensils.
  • Work with QA on environmental testing and waste management improvements.
  • Maintain safety documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Handle team timesheets and drive hygiene compliance.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing or related fields are desirable, along with certificates in Food Processing, Commercial Cookery, or Food Safety.
  • Leadership experience in FMCG or high-volume environments, and familiarity with Food Safety practices, HACCP, and WH&S principles. Lean Manufacturing experience is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide your team.
  • Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze problems and make quick, efficient decisions.
  • Experience working with various stakeholders.
  • High levels of resilience, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
