About The Role

As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective planning, delivery and operation of facilities management services at Murdoch University. This includes general building operations and maintenance, relocation of furniture and equipment, management of contractors and document control.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with customers to identify needs and agree on the scope of works to be undertaken.
  • Establishing realistic timeframes for completion of jobs and providing feedback to stakeholders on progress.
  • Ensuring works are completed within budget and to required standard.
  • Supervising contracts as needed and completing all administration, recording and reporting associated with work undertaken.

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will require relevant experience in facilities management or a related environment, possession of a 'C' class vehicle drivers' licence and basic maintenance and technical abilities. You must also demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
