Job Title: Communication Disorders Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and diagnosis of communication disorders in adult and pediatric clients.
  • Design, trial and implementation of low and high tech communication devices.

  • Assessment and management of swallowing difficulties.
  • Collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including general practitioners and allied health staff.
  • Provision of education to clients, families and the community on communication and swallowing disorders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech Pathology or related field.
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Extensive experience in assessment and treatment of communication disorders.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
