We are seeking a skilled Nurse to join our dynamic Operating Theatres team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to provide person-centred care to patients undergoing surgical procedures and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare in the Blue Mountains region.

  • Provide expert patient care in a fast-paced theatre environment
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Advocate for the specific needs of all patients, ensuring every patient receives the respect, attention and expertise they deserve
Key Responsibilities
  1. To deliver high-quality patient care by providing evidence-based practice and adhering to professional standards
  2. To participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote safe and effective patient care
  3. To communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal health outcomes
  4. To maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and treatment plans
  5. To stay current with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and professional development
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
