About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Capital Works Manager to join our team at Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ). As a key member of our Capital Works team, you will be responsible for leading and facilitating the delivery of complex projects, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.

The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills, with experience in developing business improvement strategies and managing stakeholder relationships. You will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide expert advice and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage and oversee capital works projects, including contract management and specialist advisor engagements.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to stakeholders on project strategy, risk, and benefits realization.
  • Analyse and evaluate tenders and estimates, establishing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
  • Program, schedule, and monitor capital works projects, managing changes in scope and costs.
Requirements
  • Minimum C Class driver's licence (non-restricted).
  • Experience in project management and enterprise resource planning systems is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
