Job Description:

The role of the Payroll Implementation Specialist is a 12-month fixed-term position that will play a key role in the successful implementation of new HRIS and workforce management systems.

This specialist will contribute to payroll system and process improvements, ensuring legislative compliance and supporting the successful delivery of payroll-related projects.

This role combines specialist payroll expertise with project delivery skills, ensuring both BAU payroll activities and key project milestones are met to a high standard.

Responsibilities:
  • System Process Improvements: Act as a payroll subject matter expert in the implementation of SuccessFactors HRIS, working with the project team to ensure integration with SAP Payroll.
  • Compliance: Provide payroll subject matter expertise to complex compliance and process improvement projects.
  • Support: Assist in data validation, reporting, and reconciliation tasks to support ongoing payroll accuracy.
Requirements:

Candidates must have 5-7 years of relevant experience in Payroll, HR, or Industrial Relations. End-to-end payroll processing expertise, recent involvement in payroll system implementation or integration projects, and a strong understanding of Australian industrial relations, including modern awards, enterprise agreements, taxation, and superannuation legislation are required.

A Diploma in Payroll, HR, or Law is preferred, though equivalent industry experience is acceptable.

Proficiency in SAP and SuccessFactors is highly regarded, along with demonstrated capabilities in user acceptance testing (UAT), data migration validation, and payroll reporting.
