Job Title: Data Information Manager

The role of a Data Information Manager plays a crucial part in the Vicmap data production team, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of Vicmap data meets customer needs.

This position is responsible for contributing to the end-to-end lifecycle of state-wide Vicmap products, supporting procedures and services for creation, improvement, maintenance, and quality assurance.

The Data Information Manager will provide expertise and ensure product developments align with change management requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining effective support procedures for framework data sets
  • Assisting in the day-to-day direction of third-party contractors
  • Managing quality assurance of third-party contractor supplied data
  • Preparing regular quality statements for framework data products
  • Designing and implementing framework data improvement projects
  • Providing input and domain expertise for new data products
  • Providing second-level support for users of framework data products

Essential skills and qualifications include strong project management skills, effective communication, and data literacy. The ideal candidate will drive partnerships and engage with stakeholders to co-create innovative strategies and programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

Mandatory qualifications include completion of a relevant tertiary qualification and/or industry experience in managing spatial data. Desirable qualifications include experience with Vicmap Core Spatial Data Products and Services.
