Solution Architect Job Description

The role of a Solution Architect involves serving as a technical authority, specializing in Identity and Access Management across cloud and on-premise IT systems. The primary responsibility is to lead solution design workshops with customers to identify technical and business requirements, and then develop Okta-centric solutions that fulfill these requirements while integrating security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with Okta customers to provide innovative solution design and advisory services.
  • Lead workshops to understand and assess the customer's current architecture and requirements, guiding them on aligning their design and configuration to business objectives.
  • Deliver high-quality solution designs, aligning with customer goals and ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction for senior IT and business stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • At least 7 years of overall IT/software development experience, solution design, and technical architecture experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of consulting experience.
  • Familiarity with enterprise web technologies, security, on-premise, and cloud platforms.
Tech Skills:
  • JavaScript / CSS.
  • Any server-side language like Java, C# etc.
  • Any scripting language like Powershell, Python etc.
Non-Technical Skills:
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, supporting the development of client deliverables.
  • Able to multitask, delivering multiple customer projects simultaneously.
