Central Coast Council is a dynamic and innovative organisation that serves the local community. We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Media Specialist to join our Communication, Marketing and Customer Engagement team.

The successful candidate will have experience in maintaining complex websites, content management systems, and video production. They will also possess strong analytical skills, ability to identify trends, and provide advice to optimise digital outcomes.

The role involves maintaining six Council websites, implementing website development, content management, integration enhancements with other Council systems, resolving outages, faults or issues, and coordinating tasks with external providers if required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and implement digital Help Desk, responding to enquiries within service level agreement timeframes, resolving issues, reporting, and coordinating tasks with external providers if required;
  • Maintain and integrate digital and website activities, including social networking, podcast development, online advertising, and search engine optimisation to ensure continuous improvement and optimisation;
  • Assist with the creation of engaging, professional digital content, such as videos, coordinating with external providers if required.

About the role:

  • This is a permanent full-time position with a 9-day fortnight and flexible/hybrid working arrangements available;
  • The ideal candidate holds a Diploma of Applied Information Technology or Cert IV in Information Technology (web development) and has sound experience in a similar role;
  • The salary for this position is approximately $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
