Job Title: Associate Lecturer in French

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate Lecturer in French to join our team at the Australian National University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French language and culture courses at various levels, as well as contributing to the development of French language curriculum and materials.

About the Role

The ANU School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics is a leading institution for language and culture education. As an Associate Lecturer in French, you will have the opportunity to work with world-class researchers, educators, and students, and contribute to the growth and development of our French program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach French language and culture courses at various levels, including core language and culture courses
  • Develop and implement French language curriculum and materials, including online materials
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the French program through collegial collaboration across research and service
  • Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives to promote language and culture education
Requirements
  • PhD in French Language and Literature or a related field
  • Teaching experience in French language and culture at a tertiary level
  • Expertise in language teaching pedagogy and curriculum development
  • Strong research agenda in French Studies or language pedagogy
