About the Opportunity

The University of Canberra College is seeking a talented Casual Teachers to teach psychology units as part of the Diploma of Health program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that engage students and promote their academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver face-to-face, online, and hybrid teaching in lectures, workshops, tutorials, online learning activities, discussion forums, quizzes, and online assessment submission.
  • Consult with students as needed and provide constructive feedback to promote academic growth.
  • Monitor student progress and identify areas where additional support may be required.
  • Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of an Honours degree in Psychology or a related field, with demonstrated experience in education and industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience working with students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to adapt to changing educational landscapes.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in teaching psychology units at tertiary level.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Canvas (Learning Management System).
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
