HPC Operations Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an HPC Operations Engineer. This is a critical role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience with Linux systems and a deep understanding of high-performance computing (HPC) concepts, including parallel filesystems, batch systems, and high-performance network interconnects. They will also be proficient in programming/scripting languages such as Go, Python, or C and have a strong problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide front-line operational support for Linux HPC environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Solve complex problems and escalate as needed, managing the entire problem lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with team members to write code, develop testing infrastructures, and maintain existing codebases.
  • Implement and support performance monitoring and fault monitoring systems.
  • Develop and improve systems and user documentation.
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors and provide operational support as primary job function.
Requirements:
  • At least 2+ years of professional experience with Linux systems.
  • Strong understanding of HPC concepts, including parallel filesystems and batch systems.
  • Proficient in programming/scripting languages such as Go, Python, or C.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
