Job Title: Dedicated Maternity Care Specialist

This role requires a skilled and compassionate midwife to provide exceptional care to women with complex medical conditions throughout the pregnancy continuum.

The successful candidate will be part of a highly skilled and professional multi-disciplinary team, working in partnership with women and the multidisciplinary team to deliver best practice within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Covering an on-call roster to provide evidence-based continuity of care for women from antenatal to intrapartum and up to 6 weeks postnatal
  • Working within the community and hospital environment
  • Supporting the Midwifery Unit Manager in service development and data collection

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA (no restrictions)
  • Recent experience working in antenatal, birth suite and postnatal settings
  • Experience of providing continuity of care to women (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrated high levels of communication (both written and verbal) and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Evidence of continuing educational and professional development
