Role OverviewThe Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist is responsible for maintaining our cybersecurity assurance frameworks and initiatives to enhance and protect our strategic digital service delivery, in accordance with our Cyber Security Policy frameworks, including ISO 27001/27701, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and SOC2. This role involves coordinating penetration testing, managing vulnerabilities, and conducting user access reviews.
Your responsibilities will also include overseeing internal and external audits to mitigate risks and collaborating with various departments to minimize these risks. Key Responsibilities- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and prioritize risks to the organization’s information systems, implementing strategies to mitigate these risks in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Security Policies: Develop and enforce policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the secure management and operation of information systems.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards concerning cybersecurity and privacy, working closely with our panel of privacy and security experts.
- Incident Response: Maintain and test plans to detect, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
- Continuous Monitoring: Manage and continuously monitor our Vanta solution to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Vulnerability Management: Schedule regular independent penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, ensuring timely resolution of identified vulnerabilities.
- Training and Awareness: Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices, potential threats, and their roles in maintaining organizational security.
- Third-Party Management: Ensure that third-party vendors and partners comply with the organization’s cybersecurity requirements to prevent additional risks.
- Auditing and Assessment: Coordinate regular internal and external audits to evaluate the effectiveness of security and privacy controls, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to enhance and implement security measures, staying informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology solutions.
Collaborate closely with the COO, Technology Services, Information Security Manager, security and privacy vendors, and other departments within Askable.
Qualifications- Demonstrated experience managing cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and SOC2.
- Familiarity with privacy frameworks and standards, including ISO 27701 and NIST Privacy Framework.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
