We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to support our Compliance Manager in delivering the Compliance Framework. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to the Compliance Manager in identifying and ensuring compliance with external regulatory requirements.
- Assist in monitoring the regulatory landscape and assessing trends to inform business decisions.
- Manage the Australian Sanctions Program, including assessing queries, running sanctions checks, and liaising with the Global Team.
- Develop and implement Compliance Annual Training programs for all staff, including creating the annual calendar and obtaining approval from the GGB-AU Risk Committee.
- Manage and update Compliance Policies and procedures, including implementation due to annual review or statutory/regulatory change.
- Promote compliance behavior and culture by effectively communicating and disseminating compliance strategies, policies, and processes.
- Develop quarterly reports for the wider business and provide technical compliance review of new products/schemes and binders.
- Support key projects with compliance advice and review business responses.
- Uphold The Gallagher Way and attend industry forums as appropriate.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management principles.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple engagements, processes, and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Proactive nature with the ability to show initiative and a sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
