Job Description:

The role of Senior Water Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator is to oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of water, wastewater, and recycled water treatment plants. This involves leading a dedicated team to maintain critical infrastructure and providing hands-on mentoring and support to staff and trainees.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council's values of creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe
  • Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment or equivalent
  • Demonstrated extensive working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment operations, including adherence to regulatory, health, environmental and safety requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in the supervision and training of staff
  • Proven good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated digital literacy with experience and competence in computer and devices (e.g. tablets, iPhone) applications
