Job Description

The Injury Management Partner will be the first point of contact for the Safety team, responsible for delivering all injury management-related activities, services, support, and feedback.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational injury management advice and support to enhance leadership capabilities and development of a positive and resilient approach to achieving management goals.
  • Develop and maintain Return to Work Program to ensure minimal time loss and impacts on premium.
  • Effectively manage workers compensation claims to minimize downtime and optimize outcomes.
  • Liaise with key external stakeholders including State Cover, medical and legal practitioners, and legislative bodies to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Payroll and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate calculations of workers compensation wage payments and reimbursement schedules.
  • Provide education, support, and advice to managers to proactively participate in supporting the rehabilitation of their workers.
  • Assist relevant stakeholders in managing non-work related injuries/illnesses by developing return to work plans.
  • Promote the positive culture and values of the organization through transparent decision making and ethical behavior.
Requirements
  • Experience in injury management, occupational health, or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in injury management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
