Job DescriptionThe Injury Management Partner will be the first point of contact for the Safety team, responsible for delivering all injury management-related activities, services, support, and feedback.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and operational injury management advice and support to enhance leadership capabilities and development of a positive and resilient approach to achieving management goals.
- Develop and maintain Return to Work Program to ensure minimal time loss and impacts on premium.
- Effectively manage workers compensation claims to minimize downtime and optimize outcomes.
- Liaise with key external stakeholders including State Cover, medical and legal practitioners, and legislative bodies to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with Payroll and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate calculations of workers compensation wage payments and reimbursement schedules.
- Provide education, support, and advice to managers to proactively participate in supporting the rehabilitation of their workers.
- Assist relevant stakeholders in managing non-work related injuries/illnesses by developing return to work plans.
- Promote the positive culture and values of the organization through transparent decision making and ethical behavior.
- Experience in injury management, occupational health, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in injury management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
