Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer – Protection to join our dynamic Transmission and Distribution practice within the Energy Team, located in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and lead junior and mid-level staff to deliver complex technical tasks.
  • Lead and contribute to winning work within the team's skillset, and for the wider Aurecon group.
  • Provide engineering solutions from concept design through to detail design, including consultation.
  • Assist the construction phase by providing ongoing design support.
  • Work with the team to put together design tenders.

Requirements

  • You will need a relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, and an in-depth knowledge of the Australian standard and industry guidelines.
  • A strong understanding of electrical engineering and of protection coordination studies including HV and LV systems (including development of protection system drawings and protection setting reports, and configuration of protection relays on OEM software).
  • Knowledge or experience with IEC61850.
  • You will hold a current Australian drivers' licence.
  • Demonstrated communication skills both written and verbal.
