Electrical Reliability Specialist

At Evolution Mining, we're seeking a skilled Electrical Reliability Specialist to join our team at Cowal. As a key member of our Maintenance Department, you'll provide technical support through data analysis, failure analysis, and root cause investigation.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with knowledge of Australian Standards and relevant Mining Codes, Acts, and Regulations. You'll be responsible for managing and providing timely action/recommendations from condition monitoring data, analyzing key data to identify opportunities for business de-bottlenecking, cost reduction, and reliability projects.

As a champion of work groups and defect elimination techniques, you'll provide coaching support to maintenance personnel and develop asset management plans for critical equipment. You'll also work closely with production personnel to resolve equipment reliability issues and liaise with OEMs to ensure identified product/part/component problems or maintenance issues are resolved.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support for maintenance personnel
  • Managing and providing timely action/recommendations from condition monitoring data
  • Analysis of key data to identify opportunities for business de-bottlenecking, cost reduction, and reliability projects
  • Championing work groups and providing coaching support for defect elimination techniques
  • Development of asset management plans for critical equipment
  • Developing and reviewing asset maintenance strategy plans
  • Critical spares analysis
  • Managing projects as required
  • Assisting with the preparation of maintenance budgets and cost control measures
  • Providing support to company maintenance/reliability initiatives
  • Working closely with production personnel to resolve equipment reliability issues
  • Liaising with OEMs to ensure identified product/part/component problems or maintenance issues are resolved
