Job Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Accountant or Accountant. This role involves preparing detailed financial position papers and monthly reports for the Warringah Freeway Upgrade project.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed financial position papers and monthly reports
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, review key metrics, and identify trends across project data
  • Attend site visits to engage with commercial teams and understand project mechanics
  • Support audit processes and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive process improvements and mentor junior finance staff
  • Collaborate with legal and commercial teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards
Requirements
  • CA qualification and a degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in financial or management accounting
  • Audit background from a Big 4 or top-tier firm (first or second mover)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
  • Experience in construction accounting is a plus
