
Specialist Child and Family Health Practitioner

This leadership role is focused on delivering high-quality specialist nursing care to families with children aged 0-5 years. The successful candidate will lead the development of specialist clinical practice in relation to health screening, assessment, and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver complex specialist nursing care to families with children aged 0-5 years.
- Lead the development of specialist clinical practice in relation to health screening, assessment, and advisory services.
- Provide effective quality care for clients with complex care needs, infant feeding, developmental assessment, facilitation of groups, and promoting practice development and quality initiatives.
- Develop and support staff education and training in specialized areas of Child and Family Health.
- Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to families.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Child and Family Health Nursing or equivalent.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and skills in all areas of Child and Family Health Nursing.
- Ability to identify and manage complex family needs, initiate appropriate escalation, and support team members in their response.
- Experience in empowering and supporting families through compassionate, culturally safe, and family-centred care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
