About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Royal Rehab. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations across our hospital facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the hospital division, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for hospital operations. Monitor and report on budget variances, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze hospital costs and implement strategies to improve financial performance and cost efficiency. Provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance requirements. Prepare reports and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Financial Modeling and Scenario Analysis: Perform detailed financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, including new service lines, capital investments, and operational improvements. Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis as needed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with hospital administrators, department heads, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between financial goals and operational objectives. Provide financial training and support to non-financial staff as needed.
About You

We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual with:

  • Essential Criteria: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA certification is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience within the healthcare sector, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Experience with accounting standards and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems; experience with patient administration systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including hospital staff, management and shared services teams.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
