Job Title: Data Protection Specialist

This role is responsible for providing expert guidance, advice, and training on data protection compliance within our organisation.

As a newly created position, you will play a key role in responding to Freedom of Information (FOI), Privacy requests, enquiries, and complaints in accordance with legislative requirements and our policies and procedures.

You will ensure that all grievances, privacy breaches, and/or internal reviews are dealt with in the proper manner.

To be successful in this role:

  • Auditing and assessing skills will help you manage remediation efforts relating to FOI and Privacy issues.
  • You will assist in identifying, assessing, and implementing strategies aimed at reducing data governance risks across our organisation.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in data protection, law, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in the administration of FOI and Privacy legislation and a strong understanding of regulatory, legislative, and contractual requirements.
  • Ability to review, analyse, and organise documentary and factual evidence.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
