Job Title:

The Asset Protection Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding company assets from internal and external threats. They observe and report potential safety and security hazards, investigate suspicious activities, detain suspects, maintain evidence, and complete incident reports.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Monitors warehouse and perimeter areas to identify potential safety and security concerns
  • Remains knowledgeable about company procedures and applicable laws related to asset protection duties
  • Identifies and investigates internal and external threats to company assets
  • Reports potential internal threats to Warehouse Manager
  • Participates in Shrink Committee
  • Interviews shoplifters when necessary
  • Prepares reports for internal use and potential prosecution
  • Maintains evidence and case files collected from investigations
  • Testifies in court concerning theft investigations
  • Collaborates with local law enforcement to aid in pending investigations
  • Communicates with other area asset protection specialists and security personnel to share information about current and local threats
  • Follows proper Member Service and general safety and security procedures and standards
  • Assists in other departments of the warehouse as needed
