Data Science Operations Lead

The Regional Integrated Evidence Generation Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the strategic plans for Asia Pacific, ensuring alignment with the Global Integrated Evidence Generation Plan (IEGP). This position is responsible for managing operations related to data generation, knowledge dissemination, and integration activities across the region.

This individual will own the implementation and operationalization of AP IEG Plans for infectious disease therapeutic areas, focusing on COVID-19, RSV, and Flu vaccine. They will support regional infectious diseases publications, contribute to congress plans for Asia Pacific, and cultivate interactions with scientific leaders, research institutes, Health Care Networks, and Public Health committees.

The successful candidate will also manage contracting procedures, ensure timely completion of operational steps for supporting RWE studies, and work closely with the Regional Director IEG to execute strategies for initiating and completing these studies. Additionally, they will advise colleagues on credible scientific perspectives, research, and educational collaborations when interacting with external partners and organizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• PhD or MPH or Statistics or Epidemiology qualifications with additional training in infectious diseases, epidemiology, statistics, vaccines, or similar specialties.
• Excellent understanding of local and regional healthcare environments.
• Proven record in RWE and clinical studies operations and publications.
• Highly self-motivated, with a track record of excelling in fast-paced work environments.
• Leadership capabilities without authority, with outstanding communication skills.
• Understanding of vaccine development, licensure, and recommendation pathways used by major regulatory agencies and public health organizations.
• Experience interacting with NITAGs, Health Care Networks, Academic institutions, and Aggregators of big data.
• Ability to effectively manage internal departmental and external expert interactions.
• Capacity to interact with cross-functional teams in matrix organizations.
• Well-organized self-starter, hard worker, and independent individual.
• Strong negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills with awareness of global cultural differences.
