Senior Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Consultant to join our Economics Advisory team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality economic advisory services, managing complex projects, and developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

A background in economics is essential for this role. Experience in the Water sector will be beneficial but not mandatory. The successful candidate will lead small to medium-sized projects and provide technical input on larger assignments.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Leading the delivery of economic advisory projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes.
  • Supporting the technical lead on complex projects and proposals, contributing to project planning, analysis, and client engagement.
  • Conducting economic and financial analysis, modelling, and strategy development.
  • Delivering advisory services, including cost-benefit analysis, regulatory economic advice, and policy evaluation.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics or a related field and have 5–8 years of relevant experience in economic advisory. A strong technical foundation in economic analysis, cost-benefit analysis, regulatory advice, and policy evaluation is also necessary.

The required skills and qualifications include:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; able to produce high-quality reports and communicate confidently with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Well-developed customer service capabilities with the ability to develop stakeholder relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
